28.08.2014 – Baby Woodrose censored by iTunes

babywoodrose blows your mind 200Baby Woodrose censored on iTunes!! A couple of months ago a friend told me that a handful of Bad Afro albums including Blows Your Mind had dissapeared on iTunes. My aggregator tried all kinds of things to upload them again but it did not work. Finally today we got the message from iTunes that they think the artwork for Blows Your Mind is pornographic and thus it has been taken down and banned from iTunes after 10 years of being pornographic in the iTunes shop. It’s a strange world… I mean, how about all that horny R&B, twerking and what not….the cover to Blows Your Mind is a bloody drawing you idiots. It’s not the first time this artwork by Malleus has been censored. Back in the day when MySpace was the talk of the town they also banned it and took the cover down without warning.

18.08.2014 – New The Janitors single is online today

September 22nd The Janitors will release the 4-track 12” EP Evil Doings Of An Evil Kind and today Here They Come will be released as a digital single as a taste of what is coming up. Here They Come is the first The Janitors song with a political edge and comments on the rise of the rightwing in Europe and the coming election in Sweden September 14th. Have a listen below.

Evil Doings Of An Evil Kind is a collection of dark and noisy songs that are not aimed at the faint of heart. Almost all songs have a disturbing vibe as if you should not come too close risking a punch on the nose. On this EP The Janitors display a hypnotic, monotone and evil drone although the barbed wire fuzz rock often is infused by a melodic groove.

The Janitors 12” EP is limited to 500 copies on black vinyl and is the second installment in the new series of 12” EPs on Bad Afro. Pre-sale starts September 1st via the Bad Afro shop

09.08.2014 – Vinyl and the downfall of capitalism

Shit man, the vinyl world is going crazy. The pressing plants get more orders in than they can handle and production time including a test press is now 3-4 months. Even a reprint takes 30 working days when it used to take a couple of weeks. 35 working days if it’s coloured vinyl. Delay due to Record Store Day is now permanent! Please, no more Poul Simon re-issues, please. This is only going to get worse. What happened to supply and demand mister business suit?

04.08.2014 – Spids Nøgenhat show September 20th in Copenhagen sold out

The Spids Nøgenhat show in Den Grå Hal at Christania in Copenhagen September 20th is sold out. 1100 people I think. Woohoo! There is still tickets for the remaining shows in the fall including Gimle in Roskilde October 4th which is pretty close to Copenhagen.

16.07.2014 – Spids Nøgenhat live in Tivoli, Copenhagen

Two days before their show at the Roskilde festival Spids Nøgenhat appeared on the program Go* Morgen Danmark on National station TV2. It turned into a pretty cool live video of “Lolland Falster” although it was recorded very early in the morning.

09.07.2014 – Evil Doings Of An Evil Kind

the janitors Press photo 750The upcoming 12” EP with The Janitors from Stockholm is now set in production and now it also has a name: Evil Doings of an Evil Kind. The EP contains four songs with the following titles: Greed, Black Wheels, Here They Come and There Will Be Blood. Release date will be September 22nd just in time for their appearance at the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia. Here They Come has been chosen as the first single due to go online August 18th. It’s the first The Janitors song with a political edge and comments on the rise of the rightwing in Europe and the coming election in Sweden September 14th.

They have this statement which also has the support of Bad Afro: “Right Now Europe is experiencing a wave of political forces attempting to normalize fear, oppression and exclusion of people of other cultures, skin tone, sexual preference and in many cases other gender than their own. This band believes in equal right for everyone”.

Evil Doings of an Evil Kind is a collection of dark, fuzzy and sinister songs and are not aimed for the faint of heart. With upcoming releases by Narcosatanicos and Telstar Sound Drone maybe Bad Afro is taking a turn towards noise rock. Time will tell.

27.06.2014 – Narcosatanicos release 12” EP on Bad Afro Records

narcosatanicosBad Afro is happy to announce the release of a 12” EP with Narcosatanicos. The band released their self-titled debut album just recently on Mastermind and it is without a doubt the most interesting Danish release in 2014 so far. The EP on Bad Afro is due out in spring 2015 and we can’t wait to make your ears bleed. Narcosatanicos sounds a bit like if you accidently opened the gates to hell and was met by a wall of intense psychedelic noise rock made by Satan himself. It’s a sonic mindfuck fueled on bad acid, paranoia and distortion. Three guitars, bass, drums and a saxophone player who must have spent his entire life listening to Fun House by The Stooges makes up this chaotic band and yet there is reason to be found somewhere in this vicious attack on your senses.

Go see Narcosatanicos live if you get the chance – it’s quite overwhelming. They can be heard on a couple of the smaller Danish festivals during the summer including Kildemose Festival and Gutter Island.

11.04.2014 – Copenhagen Psych Fest is coming up

psych fest endelig line-up 500In two weeks the first Copenhagen Psych Fest will take place at Spillestedet Stengade. With 45 live bands on 3 stages in 3 days in a small venue it can only become an insane experience. Bad Afro will be represented by 3 bands: THE JANITORS from Stockholm will play their first show in Copenhagen. With ”Drone Head” The Janitors released one of the most interesting psych albums of 2013. In a time where psych bands seems to pop up everywhere “Drone Head” stood out with it’s dark, fuzzy and sinister vibe. The Janitors have often been compared to early The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3 and Loop but they twist and turn their roots into a much more evil and disturbing drone. It’s noisy, monotone and simply brilliant! They will release a 4-track 12” on Bad Afro in September in connection with their appearance at the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia. LORENZO WOODROSE is a wellknown figure on the Danish psych scene. With a background in psych pioneers On Trial he has been boss in Baby Woodrose since 2001 and is frontman in Spids Nøgenhat who currently are doing very well in Denmark. At the Copenhagen Psych Fest Lorenzo will play one of his rare solo shows that usually are quite intense even though it’s acustic. TELSTAR SOUND DRONE released their debut LP on Bad Afro in June last year filled to the brim with feedback-ridden psychedelic rock as well as slow heavy psych. The band features an all-star line-up of Hans Beck and Mads Saaby from Baby Woodrose, Hobitten from Spids Nøgenhat, Christian Norup from Bite The Bullet and Sean Jardenbæk. Telstar Sound Drone are currently working on their second album to be released late 2014/early 2015. The festival will take place April 24th to 26th – get your tickets HERE

BW-lorenzo-bobler-palle 325The Bad Afro Bandcamp-based shop is finally open! At the moment you will find all available releases as well as the classic Bad Afro t-shirt. The plan is to have much more merch from bands like Spids Nøgenhat, Baby Woodrose and Telstar Sound Drone and special editions and rarities you will only find in the shop. Future pre-sales will also take place in the shop and it is the plan to stock plenty of releases which are close to being sold out or deleted so the shop will be the place to look if you have missed out on something and it’s hard to find elsewhere. The very last copies of Baby Woodrose – Light Up Your Mind 7”, Telstar Sound Drone – Comedown LP and The Setting Son – Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears LP are in stock now but will soon be gone. Check it out HERE Lorenzo Woodrose photo by Palle Demant.

15.03.2014 – New Baby Woodrose album out on Monday

On March 17th Baby Woodrose will release a compilation album of vinyl 7” b-sides and rarities collected from various releases from the past 13 years. Besides b-sides and split singles released on Bad Afro Records the album includes b-sides from singles released on Swedish, French, Norwegian and Greek record labels. It also includes a cover of “Beat City” by The Raveonettes.

You can listen to the full album below except for the Raveonettes cover.

Most of the songs were recorded by the original line-up of Lorenzo Woodrose (vocals/guitar), The Moody Guru (bass) and Fuzz Daddy (drums). That goes for the self-released debut 7” on Pan Records which originally was released in only 300 copies. The two songs – 6654321 and That’s How Strong My Love Is – comes from the very first studio session Baby Woodrose did as a band, only a few months after the release of the Blows Your Mind album which Lorenzo Woodrose released on his own.

The probably most interesting session included here is five songs recorded pretty much live in the Black Tornado studio during the making of the Chasing Rainbows album in late 2007. It was the last recording by the original line-up but the songs never made the album but ended up as b-sides instead. The first five songs on the album documents that session.

This collection of songs from the 14 7” singles Baby Woodrose have released so far is made for the fans who don’t collect vinyl singles or are not willing to fork over the cash for the often rare and expensive singles of which most are deleted years ago. First edition on LP is limited to a 1000 copies on black vinyl and is already sold out from the Bad Afro manor. A new edition on red vinyl is on the way. Photo by Magnus Cederlund.

17.02.2014 – The Dandelion 12″ is called back

It’s a real pain in the ass but Bad Afro has been forced to call back the The Dandelion 12” EP that was released recently. It turns out that there’s a small scratch in the song Borderline Originality Disorder and it’s present on the entire pressing. People who already have the 12” can return it in the shop where they bought it or keep it since the first print will be really rare. What a bummer!! UPDATE: The Dandelion EP is back in stock March 10th.

06.01.2014 – Lorenzo Woodrose comments on Kicking Ass & Taking Names

BW-kicking ass coverMarch 17th Baby Woodrose will release Kicking Ass & Taking Names, a collection of b-sides and rarities compiled on LP and CD for the first time. Here is what Lorenzo has to say about the release: The single B-side is becoming more and more of a forgotten artform now, but I’ve always felt there was a certain charm about them. Somehow it’s simply in the nature of the B-side to open up for casual experimentation. They can offer an alternative view of the artist or contain something totally off the wall which can have a deeper quality or stand the test of time better than the more commercial attempt of the A-side. I can still remember picking up a cheap copy of The 1910 Fruitgum Company’s Simon Says 45 at a fleamarket many years ago and not expecting much from it until I flipped it around and had my face melted off by the psychedelic popgem of Reflections In The Looking Glass, which to this day is still a favourite of mine.

The tracks contained on this compilation represent the outskirts of the Baby Woodrose universe, from weird cover versions like 6654321 by The Troggs to 2 minute punk outbursts like A Good Day To Die, but what they all have in common is the uncommitted energy and instant excitement of an adrenaline kick. Some of them were created on the spot in the studio (Live Wire comes to mind) and others were meant as album tracks, but ended up as outtakes for one reason or another. They have been recorded over a number of years, in different studios and by different band lineups, mixed at different stages by different people and released by different labels from all over the world, so the sound might vary slightly, but they also represent a unique archival history of the band, compiled here for the first time.

Most of the original 45’s were pressed in very small quantites and are now nearly impossible to find. The best example is probably the very first and self-released Pan Records single, which was printed in 300 copies and currently books as high as 200 euro! The two tracks – 6654321 and That’s How Strong My Love Is – came from our very first studio session as a band, only a few months after the release of Blows Your Mind (early 2002).

The most productive and musically interesting session however, is possibly the last one we did with the original line up of the band, some time during the making of Chasing Rainbows. The work of this weekend is represented by the first 5 songs on this album, which were pretty much recorded live in Black Tornado, probably late 2007. I’ve always felt these tracks are some of the best performances we ever did in the studio. Lorenzo Woodrose December 2013.

13.12.2014 – Spids Nøgenhat – Best album of the year in Danish newspaper Politiken

Spids Nøgenhat aalborg 2013The biggest and most influential newspaper in Denmark called Politiken has named the new Spids Nøgenhat album Kommer Med Fred the best Danish album in 2013. Woohoo! The band is doing very well in Denmark right now and have just completed 4 successful shows around here. Now it is time for a break until the summer festivals are coming up. More info about that later. Still not familiar with Spids Nøgenhat? 05.12.2013 – The Dandelion 12″ EP coming up February 3rd, 2014

Dandelion 300Bad Afro is launching a series of 12” EPs in 2014 and the first release will be a self titled 6-track EP by The Dandelion from Australia. The Dandelion is the solo project of Daniel J Poulter, the former frontman of The Dolly Rocker Movement. Bad Afro released the third Dolly Rocker album Our Days Mind the Tyme in 2010 and has since then also released two 7” singles.
Poulter has moved from Sydney to the country side as he needed a bit of loner time to work shit out and get back into making music again. Here there is more time for music and less distractions. The Dandelion is sort of a continuation of his former projects Los Sundowners, Kill City Creeps and The Dolly Rocker Movement where all his inspirations melt into one sound. Poulter is playing all the instruments himself on the EP and recorded the songs on a four track cassette machine and an old ADAT recorder. He also did the artwork. Currently a band is being formed and live shows will follow soon. The six songs on the EP are taken from a very limited CD release called Strange Case of the Dandelion that Poulter released on his own in Australia. The EP is limited to 500 copies on black vinyl. Listen to Here Comes Love HERE

Telstar Sound Drone is a part of the project. No release date is confirmed yet. Telstar is also working on a 7” release on the Copenhagen label Subsuburban and as far as I know it will contain some of the freakier moments of the band compared to the Comedown LP. 30.04.2013 – Telstar Sound Drone LP delayed for a week

We have been forced to delay the release of Comedown for a week. New release date is June 3rd, 2013. The reason for the delay is that it now takes up to 3 months to make a LP which is about double up compared to 18 months ago and it makes it difficult to plan ahead. My pressing plant is working in 3 shifts already so vinyl is back for real in case anyone wondered. If the thesis of supply and demand should make any sense more pressing plants should be the result and hopefully productions times will be better in the future. Anyway, Telstar Sound Drone will play a show at Studenterhuset in Copenhagen June 1st (facebook event) along with ET Tumason and Fuzz Daddy (Spids Nøgenhat) will be spinning records. On the release date June 3rd there will be a reception at Café Svejk (facebook event) at 19.00. I say it all the time, but they have some of the best beer in town!

23.04.2013 – Little Steven vs. Baby Woodrose

Little Steven must have a soft spot for Baby Woodrose. Why? For the third time he has announced a Baby Woodrose song as “The Coolest Song in the World” on his syndicated Underground Garage radio show. This time it’s the b-side from the new single called Bubblegum. Check out the playlist or listen to the show here

17.04.2013 – New Spids Nøgenhat album coming up

In October Spids Nøgenhat will release their second studio album entitled Kommer Med Fred (roughly translated to We Come In Peace). The album will include 7 or 8 original songs in Danish with titles like “Mere Lys”, “Lolland Falster” and “Spids Nøgenhat i Græsset”. The album was recorded in 3 days and the band recorded the songs live in the studio.

Spids Nøgenhat (which translates to the magic mushroom Liberty Cap) was originally formed as a side-project in 1998 by Henrik “Hobitten” Klitstrøm, Morten “Aron” Larsen and Uffe “Aramis” Lorenzen (Lorenzo Woodrose) who at the time all were part of the Copenhagen based band On Trial. A band that since has led to numerous offshoots like Baby Woodrose, Ghost Rocket, Dragontears, Black Beacon Orchestra and lately Blind Owl & Good Spirits.

Spids Nøgenhat was inspired by Danish acid rock bands like Alrune Rod, Røde Mor and Furekåben and played a few shows in the early years as an accustic guitar trio. In 2001 they released their debut album En Mærkelig Kop Te (A Strange Cup of Tea) on Orpheus Records that did not receive much attention at the time but since then has grown into a serious cult album with several reprints on vinyl.

The band resurrected in 2009 after public demand now including Anders “Moody Guru” Skjødt and Anders “Fuzz Daddy” Grøn, who both were in the original line-up of Baby Woodrose along with Lorenzo, and Sebastian “Zeppo” Bülow who contributed with the great visuals that always give a special vibe to the Spids Nøgenhat shows. A legendary concert at Roskilde Festival in 2011 later turned into the live album “De Sidste Her På Jorden” from 2012.

Bad Afro Records will release the long awaited follow up album to En Mærkelig Kop Te in October 2013 and the band will play a few selected shows in Denmark to support the release:

01/11/2013: Atlas, Aarhus (Pre-sale)
02/11/2013: Studenterhuset, Ålborg (Pre-sale)
09/11/2013: Pumpehuset, Copenhagen (Pre-sale)

25.02.2013 – Listen to the new Baby Woodrose 7″

The new Baby Woodrose single is to be released April 1st containing two exclusive songs originally recorded to be included on the Third Eye Surgery album from 2012. But the songs did not fit in, not because of the quality of the songs but the mood of the songs was just too different compared to the final album. Light up your Mind is an uplifting song about regaining strength while the flipside Bubblegum is a tight Kinks-type rocker.

Light up your Mind is dedicated to the memory of Ralph A. Rjeily. Lorenzo Woodrose wrote on his website: “Ralph was my friend, technician, producer, booker, soundman, tourmanager and travelling companion since 1996. He died last year after a yearlong battle against cancer. I miss him.”

28.01.2013 – Upcoming The Dolly Rocker Movement 7”

There has been a little quiet around the Australian band The Dolly Rocker Movement since they released their third album Our Days Mind the Tyme in 2010. Main man Daniel J. Poulter moved to the US for a while and when he returned to Australia he started a new band called Kill City Creeps.

But Poulter has not completely forgotten about The Dolly Rocker Movement which is why Bad Afro is proud to present a brand new 7” EP. Your Side of Town is a slightly melancholic psych pop song with vibrant guitar licks and cool organs while Silently We Sung has a more quirky beat miles away from the usual garage thang.

The 7” single is featuring a bonus track compared to the download version in shape of “Girl of the 13th hour”, a cover of the obscure Texas garage band Chaz and the Classics from 1967.

27.08.12. – New The Setting Son single/video is online today

Above the Rest is released online today. You can watch the video here

19.08.12 – The Setting Son release their 3rd album on Bad Afro

The Setting Son have finished the recordings of their third album. It’s entitled Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears and will be released October 8th, 2012 on Bad Afro Records.

The Setting Son started out as a solo project for Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen who recorded more than 50 songs in his flat in Copenhagen on his 4-track tape recorder. Lorenzo Woodrose from Baby Woodrose got hold of the tapes and handed them over to Bad Afro who released the first two albums with Lorenzo Woodrose as producer.

The Setting Son have since then become a real band with their own take on psychedelic garage pop that is both blue-eyed and bittersweet. The songwriter Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen has an ear for good tunes and his characteristic voice and songwriting skills makes The Setting Son stand out among the many bands today who are inspired by psychedelic music from the 60s.

Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears is more varied than the early material and more time has been spend on the details this time. The album is produced by Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen and The Setting Son in the Orangeriet studio in Copenhagen and the result is a more mature record that showcases another side of their talent.

Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears will be released as LP and download. First print of the LP will include a free CD of the entire album. Above The Rest has been chosen as the first single from the album and will be released online August 27th, 2012. The cover is a self-portrait of Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen.

The line-up on Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears include members of Baby Woodrose, Sort Sol, Emma Acs & the Inbred Family, The Good The Bad and Death Valley Sleepers.

Line-up:

Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen – Vocals, guitar

Adam Olsson – Guitar, vocals

Henrik “Heinzz” Malm – Organ

Tobias Winberg – Bass

Adam Winberg – Drums

Emma Acs – Vocals

19.03.12 – New Baby Woodrose single and video out today

Baby Woodrose will release their new album Third Eye Surgery April 16th. Dandelion has been chosen as the second single from the album and it’s quite different from the spaced out sounds otherwise found on the album. Dandelion is a sweet psychedelic pop song and it is also a duet between Lorenzo Woodrose and the beautiful young Danish singer Emma Acs who released her debut album Champagne in 2011. Dandelion is released online via iTunes, Spotify, TDCplay, Amazon bla bla bla today March 19th and there is also a new video out for the song that you can watch here

06.03.12 – Royal Baths video and European tour

Royal Baths released their second album Better Luck Next Life in February. Here’s a video for Faster Harder with an ending that is quite disturbing. 02.03.12 – Baby Woodrose – Third Eye Surgery LP/CD presale has started!

13.02.12. – Cosmonauts – Emerald Green 7” out April 16th

Bad Afro is proud to introduce the first 7″ on the label with an American band. And what a great and especially LOUD release it is. Cosmonauts was formed in 2009 and resides in Orange County in sunny southern California and sound like a bunch of kids that don’t like the beach too much and spend their time inside taking drugs and complaining that it never rains. They have a huge buzzing sound that rely on broken amps and not pedals that most bands use to make noise.

Cosmonauts released their great self-titled debut album in 2010 on Permanent Records in Chicago although it was originally released on tape on Burger Records (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, Black Lips and much more). They also have a 7″ out on the Italian label Goodbye Boozy. Cosmonauts have recently completed the recordings of their second album which will be released on Burger Records.

The 7″ includes the two exclusive songs Emerald Green and Motorcycle # 1. So far this 7” will not be available for download. It’s possible to listen to the 7″ on the Cosmonauts bandcamp

30.01.12. – Baby Woodrose – Third Eye Surgery

Baby Woodrose have just finished recording their 6th studio album entitled Third Eye Surgery and release is set for April 16th. All Baby Woodrose albums have a different vibe and with Third Eye Surgery they have made their space rock album. For the first time Lorenzo Woodrose integrate the heavy psych of his side projects Dragontears and Spids Nøgenhat with the fine song writing of Baby Woodrose.

No matter how much the fuzz guitar is wailing or the echo machine is tripping, there’s always a good song hiding beneath the rumble. Several of them clocks in at almost 6 minutes so there are only 9 songs on Third Eye Surgery. Songs like Nothing is Real and Love Like a Flower have an Eastern flavour thanks to the sitar of Vicki Singh while Just a Ride sounds like a trip to India in more than one way.

Even though the central songs on Third Eye Surgery like Waiting for the War, Bullshit Detector and the title song are very spaced out there are also a few tunes that sticks out. Dandelion is a sweet and melancholic psychedelic pop song and is also a duet with Emma Acs while Honalie is a dreamy ballad that makes time stand still. Almost.

Third Eye Surgery has been recorded in the Black Tornado studio in Copenhagen and is engineered by Anders “Evil Jebus” Onsberg and produced by Lorenzo Woodrose. The artwork is made by German artist Kiryk Drewinski who has worked with the band several times before and also did the artwork for the demo collection Mindblowing Seeds and Disconnected Flowers released in 2011. LP is gatefold as usual.

Nothing is Real has been chosen as the first single and will be released online February 20th 2012.

The upcoming Baby Woodrose album Third Eye Surgery is finally in the can. The final touches were made last weekend and the master has already been sent to print. As a whole the album is really trippy so be prepared to be spaced out! Lorenzo Woodrose has written a final blog about the making of the album here http://www.babywoodrose.wordpress.com

17.01.12. – New Baby Woodrose shows

The ”Tour dates” section has been updated. New Baby Woodrose shows in Finland, Holland, Sweden and Denmark listed

09.01.12 – Bad Afro profile on Wikipedia
Yes, finally we have a profile on Wikipedia including probably the most reliable discography of Bad Afro Records possible. Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Afro

24.12.11. – News on Third Eye Surgery

Lorenzo Woodrose spills the beans on the upcoming Baby Woodrose album in several comments on the BW web: http://babywoodrose.wordpress.com/ The album is due out April 16th, 2012.

19.12.11. – The Defectors are back!

After touring in Spain, Norway, France, Germany and Russia and playing selected festival jobs in Denmark in 2008 throughout 2010 The Defectors took a break in 2011. Now they are back with a new line-up featuring Mort Harder (vocals), Martin Budde (organ), Yeah! (drums), Rune P (bass) and Nik (guitar) and plan to have new material ready in 2012.

The Defectors played their first show with the new line-up at the Monorama Horrornight in Aarhus November 19th and two more shows are now booked for January in Aarhus and Copenhagen. See tour dates section for more details. New dates by Cosmonauts and The Flaming Sideburns listed too.

09.12.11. – Nothing is happening

If you feel like that nothing is happening on Bad Afro at the moment you are absolutely right! The fact is that all the planned 7”s are delayed at once for various reasons so all planning has gone down the drain. The Vambourines 7” has been delayed since the band (nor the label involved) did not really like the mixes that Mike McHugh did and now they are re-recoding some parts of the songs as well as mixing them by themselves. Royal Baths recently signed to the US label Kanine (Grizzly Bear, Surfer Blood etc.) and relocated to New York at the same time so they have to find their own feet before recording the announced 7” on Bad Afro. The Cosmonauts 7” is just late in general and The Dolly Rocker Movement will record their upcoming 7” here in December to be released some time in the spring. Which leaves us with the Baby Woodrose album Third Eye Surgery due out in April 2012 and the above singles when they are ready. Stay tuned!

21.11.11. – Baby Woodrose LPs back in stock

Baby Woodrose – Baby Woodrose LP and Baby Woodrose – Love Comes Down LP are back in print. Both are on green vinyl and limited to 500 copies. Two other BW LPs are unfortunately sold out now – Mindblowing Seeds and Disconnected Flowers LP and Money For Soul LP. There will probably be reprints later on.

17.11.11. – News from The Dolly Rocker Movement

The Dolly Rocker Movement will enter a studio in December to record two exclusive songs for an upcoming 7” on Bad Afro due to be released in the spring 2012. A-side will be the beautiful and catchy “Your Side of Town” while the B-side will be the moodier, more spaced out “Down With You”. The demos sound fantastic so no doubt this will be a great 7”. The artwork will be done by Kiryk who also made the artwork for the previous The Dolly Rocker Movement releases on Bad Afro; Our Days Mind the Tyme LP/CD and “Our Brave New World 7”. The LP has been sold out for quite some time and we hope to be able to do a reprint soon.

After his return from the US to Australia main man Daniel Poulter has worked on a movie score and also found time to start a new band with three girls called Kill City Creeps. They recently released their debut EP and you can hear some of it here:http://www.myspace.com/killcitycreeps

04.11.11. – Upcoming Baby Woodrose tour in Germany

Baby Woodrose will embark on yet another tour in Germany in a couple of weeks to support the re-issue of Love Comes Down. 24.11.2011 – (DE) Nürnberg, Zentralcafé @ K4

25.11.2011 – (DE) Psychedelic Network Festival, Würzburg

26.11.2011 – (DE) Solingen, Cobra

31.10.11. – Bad Afro t-shirts for children available exclusively from Vibrashop.com

The last remaining stock of the Bad Afro t-shirts for children we printed for the Roskilde Festival are now available exclusively at vibrashop.com. White logo print og black t-shirt. 24.10.11. – Love Comes Down LP has left the building

Today the re-issue of the Baby Woodrose album Love Comes Down from 2006 has been released on LP/CD and as download. The limited first print on LP on black vinyl including a free 7″ is all gone from the Bad Afro headquaters which means that right now is the right time to obtain a copy at your vinyl pusher. A second press on red vinyl without the 7″ is also out….but it’s not quite the same. A lot of positive reviews have already been written about this album and this one below will appear in the upcoming issue of Shindig:

“Back in 2006 whilst Scandinavian Garage Rock was enjoying a high profile due to the likes of Dungen and Soundtrack of Our Lives, Danish ensemble Baby Woodrose managed to land a deal with the sizeable Playground Music. Unfortunately as bigger labels tend to do, they increased the recording budget and then failed to distribute the album effectively thereby creating one of the bands best but hardest to find recordings. Now thanks to the eminently improved distribution of Bad Afro the album has been reissued. Fans of On Trial will recognise band leader Lorenzo Woodrose’s song writing and vocals which flourish here on the beautiful ‘Lights are Changing’ the powerful garage fuzz rocker ‘It’s all over now’ and the trippy and spacey title track. Not many bands have a catalogue as impressive as Baby Woodrose and it’s great to see this little number back in the fold. LP version features a single with two unreleased tracks”. Richard Allen

20.10.11. – Third Eye Surgery

As told earlier, Baby Woodrose is recording their coming album this fall/winter at the Black Tornado studio in Copenhagen and now the new baby has a name. The 6th studio album (excluding the cover album “Dropout”, the live album “Live at Gutter Island” and the collection of Blows Your Mind demos “Mindblowing Seeds”) will be called Third Eye Surgery and it’s due out in April 2012 on LP, CD and as download. Lorenzo Woodrose was recently quoted for saying that it will become a totally psyched out space rock album with a few twisted pop songs included for good measure. What that means time will tell – but the plan is to release the first single for radio and download in January. And maybe as a 7″ too…..that has not been decided yet.

06.10.11. – Tripping with Spids Nøgenhat

Goddamn, the sold out Spids Nøgenhat show at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen last Saturday was a blast!! Unfortunately there is no videos online from that show yet. But here’s a video of “Hvad Har Du Taget” from their show in Aalborg the day before. The audience seems quite carmer than at the Copenhagen concert but the jamming is tip top. Check it out here

27.09.11. – Brand new Baby Woodrose interview on Cosmic Lava

There’s a brand new Lorenzo Woodrose interview published on the cool German website Cosmic Lava – news about the upcoming album, the re-issue of Love Comes Down and the Spids Nøgenhat shows coming up this weekend. Interesting enough there is also a link to view Lorenzos private record collection.

24.09.11. – Little Steven vs. Baby Woodrose

Little Steven has chosen “What Ya Gonna Do” from the upcoming Baby Woodrose re-issue of Love Comes Down as “Coolest Song of the Week” on this weeks show. We could not ask for better promotion of the album since the show is broadcastet on about 120 radio stations all over the world with up to a million listeners. You can see the playlist and listen to the show right here It’s actually the second time a Baby Woodrose song has been nominated as the “Coolest Song of the Week” on the Underground nation network and the 4th time for a Bad Afro band as it also happend to The Defectors and Sweatmaster some years ago. Thanks Steven!

19.09.11. – Telstar Sound Drone on the radio

On Thursday the 22nd of September Telstar Sound Drone will visit the radio program Mod Strømmen between 18.00 and 20.00. If you live in the Copenhagen area tune into 98.9 FM or 98.8 Hybrid. The show will also be podcastet here

12.09.11 – The Vambourines 7” delayed

The debut 7” by The Vambourines was originally scheduled for September but things didn’t really work out that way. The band and Bad Afro for that sake were not satisfied by the mix of the songs and time has been spend on finding someone to mix and master the 7”. Mike McHugh (Ty Segall, Black Lips, Vivian Girls and a lot of In The Red stuff) from California was chosen for the task and as he works 100% analogue everything has taken some extra time. The band had to send a hard disc with the songs that was then converted to tape before McHugh could start working. Right now it’s impossible to give an exact release date but it should still be during 2011.

On a better note, The Vambourines will play at the upcoming Gutter City festival at Loppen in Copenhagen September 23rd. A good chance to check out the band before the 7” arrives.

05.09.11. – Spids Nøgenhat pre-sale tickets available

After the very successfull show at this years Roskilde Festival Spids Nøgenhat will play 3 shows in Denmark in a few weeks. Pre-sale tickets are available here:

30.09.11 – Studenterhuset, Aalborg (tickets)

01.10.11 – Pumpehuset, Copenhagen (tickets)

27.10.11 – Train, Aarhus (tickets)

The show at Roskilde was recorded by the National Danish Radio and will result in a live LP released by Orpheus Records at a still unknown date this fall. Read a full bio about the band here Spids Nøgenhat has an identical line-up to Dragontears: Lorenzo Woodrose, Aron, Hobitten, Moody Guru and Fuzz Daddy.

02.09.11. – Meet the Cosmonauts

Bad Afro is very proud to introduce the first 7″ on the label with an American band. Derek Cowarts vocals appears as an instrument in itself that resembles the way that David Yow used to influence the sound of Jesus Lizard (although Cosmonauts does not sound like Jesus Lizard). The 7″ includes the two exclusive songs Emerald Green and Motorcycle One and will be released later this year.

Cosmonauts released their great selftitled debut album in 2010 on Permanent Records in Chicago although it was originally released on tape on Burger Records (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, Black Lips and much more). They also have a 7″ out on the Italian label Goodbye Boozy. They have recently completed the recordings of their second album which will be released on Burger Records.

You can listen to the upcoming 7″ on the Cosmonauts bandcamp And there’s a video for Yer So Rad from their debut album below:

26.08.11 – Waiting for the War? Lorenzo speaks about the new Baby Woodrose LP

I’m almost ready to start recording the new album. I have a whole bunch of new songs with working titles such as Waiting For The War, Light Up Your Mind, The Harbinger, Love Like A Flower and It’s Just A Ride. Four days have been booked in my favourite Black Tornado Studio starting next week. I hope to finish most of the backing tracks and get an idea how much more work is needed. I also need to come up with a cool title. Been thinking about THE DEATH OF AQUARIUS or THE ESCHATON as the album is set for release in 2012. I’m starting to get a slight adrenaline rush anyway, looking forward to get some work done.

Read more on the Baby Woodrose web. Three more Baby Woodrose shows have been added to the list:

06.10.11 – Salzhaus, Winthertur, Switzerland

07.10.11 – Reitschule, Bern, Switzerland

29.10.11 – Gimle, Roskilde, Denmark

08.08.11. – Baby Woodrose will record a new studio album soon + new tourdates

At the end of August the first studio sessions for the upcoming Baby Woodrose studio album will take place. At the moment not much info is available regarding the recordings and what direction the band will take. But they are back in the Black Tornado studio – that much is sure at this point. The still untitled album is set for release in the spring 2012.

Baby Woodrose has added some German shows to their tour plan this fall which so far looks like this:

12.08.11 – Baby Woodrose – Saupzipf Festival, Austria (A)

31.08.11 – Baby Woodrose – Klubi, Tampere (FI)

01.09.11 – Baby Woodrose – Tavastia, Helsinki (FI)

02.09.11 – Baby Woodrose – Höyryturbiini Festival, Turku (FI)

03.09.11 – Baby Woodrose – Royal Night, Vaasa (FI)

08.09.11 – Baby Woodrose – Gutterball Festival, Oslo (N) (Lorenzo Woodrose solo)

09.09.11 – Baby Woodrose – Gutterball Festival, Oslo (N)

16.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Hafenklang, Hamburg (DE)

17.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Moonshake Party @ Ponyhof, Frankfurt (DE)

18.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Zwölfzehn, Stuttgart (DE)

19.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – DUSTOWNsounds @ Festsaal Kreuzberg, Berlin (DE)

24.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Zentralcafé @ K4, Nürnberg (DE)

25.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Psychedelic Network Festival, Würzburg (DE)

26.11.11 – Baby Woodrose – Cobra, Solingen (DE)

More shows are to be added later.

26.07.11. – Coloured vinyl

There has been some confusion about the coloured vinyl on Bad Afro and the colour of the first press of the LP’s. Apparently Bad Afro does it differently than most other labels. Since 1997 the first print has been on black vinyl, the second print on red vinyl, 3rd print on green vinyl and recently it has been decided that 4th press is on purple vinyl. Of cource there has been some fuck ups along the way like the Baby Woodrose LP Money For Soul which has been printed 4 times but still is on black vinyl and probably some others too. But general rule is black, red, green and then purple. Future reprints on Bad Afro will have a sticker indicating what colour the vinyl is. Pretty nerdy but handy when the LPs are shrinkwrapped.

18.07.11. – Love Comes Down re-issued on LP and CD on Bad Afro in October

On October 24rd Bad Afro Records will re-issue the Baby Woodrose album Love Comes Down. For many people this can be considered the “lost” Baby Woodrose album. It was originally released in 2006 and followed the succesful Money For Soul album. At the time Love Comes Down was only released in Scandinavia and not many people outside here ever got the chance to hear it. Which is a shame as it contains a great mix of pretty straight forward garage rockers mixed with beautiful moodier stuff. The vinyl version was only released in 500 copies which makes it the most rare Baby Woodrose LP to date.

But that will change now when Bad Afro will release it again – this time with extra material included. The 1st press of 500 copies on black vinyl will include a free 7” single on 33 1/3 rpm with two exclusive songs recorded at the same sessions as Love Comes Down. We are talking two hard stoner rock songs called Cherry Bomb and The Keeper that together clocks in at more than 12 minutes. Guest appearances by Eduardo Martinez (The Flaming Sideburns) and Yebo (The Tremolo Beer Gut).

Love Comes Down featured the original Baby Woodrose line-up: Lorenzo Woodrose on guitar/vocals, Fuzz Daddy on drums and The Moody Guru on bass (the two last mentioned also play with Lorenzo in Dragontears and Spids Nøgenhat these days).

11.07.11. – On Trial artwork

In case you wonder how the artwork looks like on all the different On Trial 2×7″s here’s a link showcasing the entire collection of singles

04.07.11 – Spids Nøgenhat live at Roskilde Festival

Spids Nøgenhat played an awesome show at Roskilde Festival last Saturday which was recorded by the National Danish radio who kindly enough have broadcastet it on their website Spids Nøgenhat have the same line-up as Dragontears but they only play songs in Danish. Their sole album “En Mærkelig Kop Te” has just been released again on vinyl in a remixed version on Orpheus and is highly recommendable.

20.06.11. – Roskilde Festival here we come!

As a cool tradition Bad Afro and about 20 other Danish independent labels are sharing a shop in the Yourspace tent at the Roskilde Festival. The tent is placed right next to the Pavillion stage and is easy to find. Here we hang out, sell vinyl and merchandice at cheap prices and generally just having a good time. Here’s your chance to find wild, weird and wonderful music from the Danish underground and beyond.

As a new thing some of the labels are offering free downloads of artists like Telstar Sound Drone, Trust, Spids Nøgenhat, Baby Woodrose, Dragontears, Hjertestop, Cola Freaks, Dolly Rocker Movement, Aron, Rising and many more on soundcloud.

The shop is open 12.00 to 24.00 during warm up and 12.00 to 02.00 during the actual festival. From Sunday June 26th to Sunday July 3rd.

Besides the usual stuff Bad Afro will also be bringing some rare records and merchandice like the very last 10 copies of the otherwise deleted On Trial 2 x 7”, Dragontears – Turn On Tune In Fuck Off!! LP including the 7” and on red vinyl (this version is limited to a 100 copies). There is also the very limited and very cool Bad Afro slipmat and finally there’s a restock of the Bad Afro t-shirts for children that have been sold out for so long. It’s back in these sizes: 1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years and 9-11 years.

The Dutch radio station VPRO recorded one of the Dragontears shows at Roadburn. It’s the concert from the Green Room stage Sunday April 17th. Featuring two Pandemonica songs where especially “Neon Headed Demon” totally kicks ass. This is a recording of the last Dragontears show ever and I already miss them. Fuzz on brothers!!! There are still LP copies available of their debut album 2000 Micrograms From Home (green vinyl) and their second album Tambourine Freak Machine. Their last album Tune In Turn On Fuck Off is sold out for the moment. You can listen to the full show here

Wedsnesday june 1st at 12.00 On Trial will be interviewed on Danish National Radio channel P6 Beat. They have been asked to present their 3 favourite On Trial songs as well as songs from bands they have played with during the years. You can listen here or listen to the podcast later.

On Thursday June 2nd yours truly can be heard on the air on “Mod Strømmen” on Christianshavns Kanal between 18.00 and 20.00. Tune into 98.9 FM or 98.8 Hybrid if you live in Copenhagen. There’s a podcast too here I will be spinning some Bad Afro stuff as well as bands I am listening to right now. Could be Royal Baths, Ghost Rocket, Ty Segall, Blacktop, Baby Woodrose, Goatsnake, Telstar Sound Drone, On Trial, Cosmonauts, Moon Duo, Woods….or something.

27.05.11. – On Trial Forever!!!

Finally got my hands on my share of the On Trial singles today. Wow, some of them are really fantastic. They are all handmade by On Trial and friends (50 of them are made by school girls though) and all 500 copies are different. Packed in a gatefold sleeve with 5 mm spine and including insert signed by each member and it’s handnumbered too. And there’s an On Trial sticker. What’s not to like? The band will be selling them at Loppen when they play their last show on Friday the 3rd of June. No pre-sale so be early.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pg01T3bvso

05.05.11. – Blows Your Mind LP back in print soon

The Baby Woodrose debut album Blows Your Mind will be available on vinyl again May 30th. This time on real funky purple vinyl limited to 500 copies. On a personal note I met the guys from Malleus at Roadburn and I got the original Blows Your Mind poster on real thick cardboard….made me happy!!

27.04.11. – The Vambourines 7” coming up

Bad Afro will be releasing a 7” called ”Change in Direction” by The Vambourines. This new Danish duo hails from Lyngby north of Copenhagen and are currently finishing their debut album at Studie 73 in collaboration with Johan Lei Gellett (Baby Woodrose, The Setting Son and many more). We are aiming for a release in September. You can listen to a demo version of “Change in Direction” here

20.04.11. – New Baby Woodrose album out April 25th

The new Baby Woodrose album Mindblowing Seeds and Disconnected Flowers will be released next Monday the 25th of April. Someone at the office must have smoked too much weed the day the release date was set `cause the 25th is a national holiday here in Denmark…..making Bad Afro one of the VERY few labels releasing records when no shops are open. Or rather…one shop is open. Route 66 in Copenhagen will be open extraordinarily between 12 and 16 where you can purchase the LP.

Route 66 is located at Fælledvej 3, 2200 Copenhagen N.

The release party for the album is also taking place the same day at Cafe Svejk, Smallegade 31, 2000 Frederiksberg at 19.00. I have to say it again, they have some of the best beer in town.

19.04.11. – R.I.P. Dragontears

Phew, finally back from Roadburn – at least psysically. Mentally it will probably take awhile before things are normal again. Dragontears played their last concert at the Green Room on Sunday April 17th and did a great show. Below is a video of the Pandemonica song Neon Headed Demon from the above concert. The sound quality could be better as if the recorder couldn’t really cope with the massive sound of 3 screaming guitars. But you’ll get the picture.

14.04.11. – New On Trial and Telstar Sound Drone songs on Myspace

Yeah, everybody hates Myspace…but still, you can now listen to songs from the upcoming On Trial and Telstar Sound Drone 7″ singles on Bad Afro’s myspace profile. On Trial – 13 is Just a Number and Telstar Sound Drone – Mirror Pieces. Check it out here

12.04.11. – Baby Woodrose release party

The release party for the new Baby Woodrose album Mindblowing Seeds and Disconnected Flowers will take place at Cafe Svejk the 25th of April. Uhmm, they have some of the best beer in town. The reception is at 19,00 at Svejk, Smallegade 31, 2000 Frederiksberg.

08.04.11. Mirror Pieces – New 7” by Telstar Sound Drone

Telstar Sound Drone formed in 2007 when Hans Beck convinced Mads Saaby to join him in a project called Les Aprés L’amour Sonnes, an artist collective working with media such as sound and video. The first project was to add sound to old educational movies, playing along with the projections. With the addition of Sean Jardenbæk and Mads Løwe the project turned into a band and settled with the name Telstar Sound Drone.

The band recorded a self-titled EP that led to a show at Roskilde Festival in 2009. After that Telstar Sound Drone took a break while internal problems almost destroyed the band. At one point Hans Beck was the only member of the band playing all the instruments. The problems were solved and in early 2011 they recorded two brand new songs at the Black Tornado studio in Copenhagen with this single in mind.

Telstar Sound Drone cleverly blend shoegazer, drone and psychedelic rock and even though the noise breaks are quite breathtaking the music is always melodic making this release one of the most promising singles on Bad Afro for a long time. Release = May 30th.

The Telstar Sound Drone line-up is: Sean Jardenbæk (Vocals, Guitar), Mads Løwe (Bass), Mads Saaby (Guitar) and Hans Beck (Drums). The two last mentioned also play in Baby Woodrose.

Listen to Mirror Pieces here: www.telstarsounddrone.com

03.04.11. – Final On Trial release coming up

After more than 25 years on the outskirts of the Danish rock scene On Trial have decided to pull the plug. No more On Trial. On Trial have more than a handful of albums out on labels like Tee Pee, Delerium and Bad Afro and have played their own kind of stonerrock years before the term was even invented. Members of On Trial have also given birth to other projects like Baby Woodrose, Dragontears, Spids Nøgenhat and Aron.

Their final release is a 2×7” including 4 songs. Bolt of Force and No Beginning were recorded some time ago as the first session for a new album that never was finished. 13 is Just a Number and Flaws were recorded only just recently and mark the final On Trial recordings ever.

The single is delivered in a gatefold 7” sleeve and all 500 copies will have unique artwork. On Trial will be silkscreening and painting each individual sleeve so no sleeve will be identical. Destined to become a collectors item on the release day May 30th. No reprint garanteed.

On Trial will play their last show June 3rd 2011 at Loppen in Copenhagen.

27.03.11. – Dragontears Roadburn shows scheduled

The Yourspace tent functions as a sort of meeting place for musicians, labels and people interested in the alternative part of the Danish music scene. And yes, it’s also a shop with rare vinyl, CDs and all kinds of merchandice.

For the second year in a row 6 of the labels represented in the Yourspace tent hosts the showcase concert OUTERSPACE with bands they wish to have appearing at the Roskilde Festival. OUTERSPACE II are presented by Play/Rec, Red Tape, Bad Afro, Orpheus, Pony Rec and Hjernespind.

03.03.11. – The first reviews are coming in of the upcoming Baby Woodrose album Mindblowing Seeds and Disconnected Flowers. Here’s a nice one from Richard Allen in the new issue of Shindig – one of the coolest magazines around today.

“Lorenzo the drummer of Danish Psychedelic Rock band ‘On Trial’ – who contributed some of their best songs – was having a pretty rough time in 1999. Fearing the demise of his band, with no girlfriend and no place to go, he ended up crashing on the couch at the house of his friend, and fellow On Trial member Hobbit. Experimenting with some Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds (a natural psychedelic) he had a vision which inspired a new project. Baby Woodrose the band, was the result and has since recorded some of the best neo-garage psychedelia of the last 20 years. This album compiles their first demos, recorded solo on a small multi-track tape recorder by Lorenzo in the autumn of 1999. It’s some of the most soulful and passionate garage rock you are ever likely to hear, filled with dramatic power and a singular fuzz rock vision, that was born from a moment of pure inspiration”.

25.02.2011. – Baby Woodrose is now on bandcamp. Here you can listen to songs from all the Baby Woodrose albums as well as Lorenzo Woodrose sideprojects like Dragontears and Spids Nøgenhat. Also, the three very rare Pandemonica albums and the 12” are now available for download for the first time on the bandcamp site. Pandemonica was a Lorenzo Woodrose solo project which he recorded from 1993 to 1996. Equally as interesting is the three Baby Woodrose download-only albums called Unreleased Rarities 1, 2 and 3. They includie alternative mixes, outtakes, demos + rare stuff by Dragontears, Spids Nøgenhat and On Trial. Finally, therë’s also the Unreleased Realities download-only album which ended up as the soundtrack to the experimental movie Strange Artifacts of the Celebral Cortex. Bandcamp allows you to listen to the full songs before you decide if you wanna download and the word on the street is that bandcamp will become a serious contender to Myspace – who seem to be dying because of their own incompetence.

For the past 6 years a group of Danish underground labels have shared a shop at the Roskilde Festival in the Yourspace tent right next to the Pavillion stage. The Yourspace tent functions as a sort of meeting place for musicians, labels and people interested in what is going on in the alternative part of the Danish music scene. And yes, it is also a shop with vinyl, CDs and all kinds of merchandice.

In 2011 it’s 10 years ago that Lorenzo Woodrose started his own label Pan Records and released the Baby Woodrose debut album Blows Your Mind. The album is still a favourite among many Baby Woodrose fans and along the years the album has sold almost 10.000 copies on LP and CD and an unknown amount of downloads. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary Bad Afro will release Mindblowing Seeds & Disconnected Flowers April 25th – a collection of 15 of the original 4 track demos that led to the release of Blows Your Mind. Below Lorenzo Woodrose explains how the album came about:

“In the late summer of 1999 I was in quite a difficult situation, having no home, no job, no girlfriend, no money and perhaps worst of all, the band I was playing the drums in at the time lost our guitarist, so I was even fearing I was without a band, something that has always meant a lot to me. Usually, I ended up crashing on the couch of my friend The Hobbit and often in our rehearsal room in a northwest industrial area of Copenhagen. Sometime during that summer I had also been introduced to the magic of the Woodrose seeds and somehow the experience, combined with my rather desperate state of mind, spawned a creative outburst of unforeseen proportions.

I decided to call the project Baby Woodrose, because several of the songs (Baby Blows, Living A Dream, Spinning Wheels) reflected my experience with the seeds earlier that summer. I had a vision of a vast ocean and I saw what I believe was an image of my creative potential personified in a naked woman, mysteriously filling one water bucket at a time, dragging them ashore and piling them up on the soft sandy beach. Somehow, I figured it meant that I just had to start working. For several months during that autumn, I did nothing but write and record on my little Fostex Multitracker X-30. The result was something like fifty highly distorted demo tracks in a sixties garage punk style.

I have always felt that the blueprint for the soul and spirit of Baby Woodrose is really within these very first recordings of my own, so it feels great to finally have them on vinyl and I hope some of you can appreciate the beauty of these rough diamonds. I have picked out 15 tracks, many of which also ended up on the album in final versions, but two of them were released separately under the alias Disconnected Flowers on a 7” which is virtually impossible to dig up by now and a few are previously unreleased. Polishing these tracks proved a thankless task, but luckily I still had most of the original master cassettes and the original tape machine, so this album is basically a 24bit digital dump and a careful remix of the stuff I think is the most interesting”.
